The Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) recently released the National State Content Outline and a State Component Content Outline for the  written mortgage loan originator tests required by the S.A.F.E. Act. 

The content outlines were finalized and approved by more than 90 subject matter experts across the country.  The national test is scheduled to be launched July 31, 2009.

Twelve state exams are expected to also be ready July 31, 2009. These states, known as the Fast Track States, are Arizona, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington.
