TrainingPro Is an Approved NMLS Education Provider
TrainingPro, the national leader in mortgage education, is proud to announce its approval as a mortgage education course provider through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS). TrainingPro is now authorized by the NMLS to provide the federally mandated mortgage pre-licensing and mortgage continuing education outlined in the 2008 Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E. Act) to mortgage professionals nationwide.
TrainingPro successfully met the criteria for education provider approval, which included course quality and rigor, student satisfaction, instructor qualifications, evidence for satisfactory course completion, and legal/business integrity.
As an approved NMLS mortgage education provider, TrainingPro will become a solutions provider for the education roll out of the federal S.A.F.E. Act. The S.A.F.E. Act establishes minimum standards for mortgage pre-licensing and mortgage continuing education, among other licensing requirements. A 20-hour pre-licensing and an 8-hour annual continuing education requirement are the minimums now set for every state. TrainingPro will expand its existing national curriculum and submit its S.A.F.E.-compliant courses to the NMLS as soon as the course application process is available.
“TrainingPro has been providing state-accredited mortgage education for almost a decade, and it is encouraging to see the industry and regulators working together to elevate and enrich this profession through training. Well-informed mortgage professionals are key to successful transactions and consumer confidence,” said Christopher Nickerson, CEO of TrainingPro. “The NMLS team working to launch this registry and the S.A.F.E. Act requirements has been very committed to a solid, timely roll-out. They are taking great care to ensure the industry stays informed, involved and prepared, and have been eager to listen to best practices from experienced industry leaders like TrainingPro.”
TrainingPro has been following closely the developments and launch of the S.A.F.E. Act. Please visit www.mortgageeducationblog.com for more information on the Act.
